Though new to the Uniondale High School staff, this is my seventh year as a special education teacher. As an alum of Uniondale, it is indeed an honor to give back to the district that helped mold me into the individual I am today. I earned my Bachelors at The City College of New York and my Masters degree from Mercy College. I am an active member of the PTA; holding positions as the PTA Council Recording Secretary and the Lawrence Road Middle School Unit President. As a lifelong learner I have discovered that it is important to know when to ask for help. By pooling our knowledge and resources, together we can aid our students in achieving their goals

Personal Message

Welcome to the 2013-2014 school year! I would like to take the
opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Gabriella Young-Thomas
and I will be your son/daughter's resource room
provider. This is my second year teaching in the Uniondale School
District. I began my career as a special education teacher in New
York City six years ago. Previous to my time in the city, I was a
per diem substitute teacher in Uniondale for several years. I am
excited to be part of the Uniondale family and look forward to
working with you and your child in order to help them achieve their
academic goals this school year. My personal motto is
"Together we aspire, together we achieve."
I believe together we can accomplish great things. If you have
any questions and/or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me
at the above email address or phone number. Let's make it a great year!
