Dr. Abramowitz began his journey with the Uniondale UFSD in 1996 as a Technology Teacher at Lawrence Road Middle School. In 2000 he transitioned to the role of Assistant Principal at UHS. Dr. Abramowitz completed his undergraduate and first Master's degree at City College. He received his second Master's from Queens College and later his Doctoral degree from Dowling College. As the administrator for the Business, Family and Consumer Sciences, Physical Education, Special Education, and Technology departments he spends countless hours ensuring the needs of students and staff are attended to!
Ms. Bradley started her college career at CUNY York College as an Elementary Education Major, however realized that her connection and passion were geared more toward adolescents.
While maintaining her career in the corporate sector, she transferred to CUNY Queens College where she majored in English and received a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in English Literature.
Ms. Bradley then began teaching at Uniondale High School in 2005. She received her Master of Science in Secondary Education with a concentration in English Language Arts at CUNY Queens College and she has been at Uniondale since.
In 2014 Ms. Bradley was awarded the Master of Science in Educational Administration and accepted the position of Coordinator/Principal of the Uniondale Alternative High School Program which she supervised until October 2019 when she accepted the position of Assistant Principal of the Mighty Uniondale High School!
Ms. Bradley is currently the Assistant Principal for the 9th grade as well as the Math, World Languages, Music, and Technology departments. Every day Ms. Bradley reminds staff and scholars to embrace “one day at a time” and remember that “tomorrow is a new day with a blank canvas.”
Assistant Principal Pablo Ocampo is of Colombian heritage but was raised in Queens, NY. He is profoundly motivated by knowledge, education, music, and martial arts. He is also a graduate of Queens College and the College of Saint Rose where he studied to become an educator and a school administrator.
Ms. Shulterbrondt was appointed to join the Uniondale High School family in 2012. During the last decade, she has served in several capacities; Class Advisor, Mentor, Lead Teacher and Assistant Coordinator of the Summer School program, and Coordinator of the Alternative High School programs.
As a first-generation Dominican-American, she is relationship-driven, and compassionate and is focused on maximizing student learning by creating pathways for all students to reach the goal of earning a high school diploma. She is extremely excited to join the school administrative team, continue to build connections with the Uniondale community, and ensure all students reach college and career goals.
She earned her B.A. degree in Hispanic Language and Literature with a concentration in secondary education from Stony Brook University. A Master’s degree from Touro College in T.E.S.O.L. and an Advanced Certificate in Educational Leadership from The College of Saint Rose.
