Virtual Enterprise

On January 15, 2026, Uniondale’s Virtual Enterprise students attended the LIU Post Trade Show and Business Plan Competition, where they showcased their student-run company, Apollo Active, LLC. Throughout the school year, students brainstormed a business concept, developed the product, created the logo and brand identity, wrote a comprehensive business plan, and designed the company’s website and social media presence.

At the trade show, students pitched and sold Apollo Active’s signature products, Sol Armour and Sol Armband, which use innovative sweat-based sensor technology to help monitor blood sugar levels without needles. Sales were conducted through the Virtual Enterprise International platform, which connects students to a virtual economy of over 500 high schools nationwide. Students practiced real-world skills such as marketing, communication, and sales while engaging with other Virtual Enterprise companies in a competitive marketplace.

Students also participated in the Business Plan Competition, presenting their business model, marketing strategies, and financial projections to a panel of industry judges. Uniondale’s participation highlighted the impact of hands-on, experiential learning through the Virtual Enterprise program and its role in preparing students for future college and career success.
